Ex-Rutgers Prep Standout Katie Ledden Transfers to UNH Women’s Basketball from RIU


Katie Ledden, a sophomore, has officially committed to the University of New Hampshire Women’s basketball program, yesterday she confirmed on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Ledden, who played for Rutgers Prep in New Jersey, suited up for Rhode Island the last two seasons.

At Rutgers Prep, Ledden drained 1,334 points and grabbed 677 rebounds during her four-year high school career.

Additionally, she earned a number of accolades and impressive stats in high school: Named a MacDonald’s All-American Nominee in 2023, garnered New Jersey Interscholastic Athlete Association (NJSIAA) All-State Third Team and All-Non-Public Second Team in her junior year, and in 2021-22, she averaged 15 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while adding 2.6 steals and 1.2 blocks per game.

The Wildcats posted a 10-20 overall record and went 5-7 in Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) action in the 2024-25 campaign.
