New Jersey’s Jordan Derkack Transfers to Dayton Hoops from Rutgers


Former Rutgers guard Jordan Derkack is moving on to Dayton University Men’s basketball program, today sports media outlets reported on X.

Derkack, who will be heading into senior year at Dayton, averaged 5.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 17.1 minutes per game with 48 assists and 23 steals in 31 tilts.

He played in 66 contests, all of which were starts, over two seasons, averaging 12.0 points, 4.97 rebounds, 3.34 assists, and 3.16 steals at Merrimack.

The 6-foot-6, 215-pound New Jersey native attended Colonia High School in the Garden State, averaging 13.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.0 steals as a senior.

The Flyers posted a 23-11 overall record and went 12-6 in Atlantic 10 Conference action in the 2024-25 campaign.
