EX-SI FerryHawks Pitcher Jack Mahoney Heads to Athletics’ Minor League System

Former Staten Island FerryHawks pitcher Jack Mahoney is ticketed to the Athletics organization, yesterday the team announced via X.

Mahoney whiffed 41 batters across six appearances, including an impressive six-inning, two-hit appearance against New York State rival, the Long Island Ducks, on May 25.

Overall, the 26-year-old lefty posted a 1-2 record, all starts, for the FerryHawks of the independent Atlantic League before the A’s purchased his contract.

Also, Mahoney pitched for the Milwaukee Milkmen of the independent American Association in 2023 and 2022.

Before turning pro, Mahoney played for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, putting up a 9-11 mark over five years with the Panthers.
