After a stellar performance in June, right-handed pitcher Brad Case has earned the Long Island Ducks’ Pitcher of the Month accolade.
Case–a Pelham, N.Y., native– allowed only two earned runs for an impressive 1.69 ERA in 13 outings and struck out 11 batters in 10.2 innings of work.
Case, 28, pitched for four different levels during the 2024 season, combining to post a 5-3 record with a 3.74 ERA in 22 appearances (two starts).
He spent six campaigns in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, reaching as high as the Triple-A Indianapolis Indians. He posted a 29-20 record with a 4.35 ERA with one save, and 341 strikeouts to 131 walks across 424.0 frames in 152 contests.
The Pirates selected Case in the 17th round of the 2018 MLB Amateur June Draft out of Rollins College in Winter Park Fla., going 13-15 with a 4.19 ERA and 222 strikeouts in 47 games (38 starts) during his time at college.
The Ducks are a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, a partner league of MLB.
