Class of 2026 Layton Christian Academy (Utah) forward Omar Mowafak has received an offer from Division I New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Men’s basketball program, yesterday Mowafak’s high school coach Casey Stanley wrote on X.
Additionally, the 6-foot-8 junior forward holds offers from Cal State Northridge and Ohio, per VerbalCommits.com.
Mowafak averaged 19.6 points (13th in Adidas), 7.6 rebounds (2nd in Adidas), 51 percent from the field, 67 percent free throws (9 FTA per game), and 38 percent from three-point land for Utah Prime, according to Stanley.
NJIT posted a 6-25 mark and went 3-13 in America East Conference action this past season.
