Team Melious Triumphs Over FBC Alaska in Competitive UA Rise Hoops Game

Team Melious Lightning, behind 20 points from rising senior Stella Ziogas (New Rochelle/N.Y.) and 19 from class of 2027 Emily Salafia (St. Joseph by-the-Sea/Staten Island/N.Y.), took down FBC Alaska, 56-46, in the UA Rise Platinum Bracket RD2 Under Armour Final during a July Live Period event.

Rising junior Lauren Leon (Brewster High School/N.Y.) contributed 14 points in the victory.

Ziogas is headed to Siena after graduation, and Salafia is a two-sport athlete who also plays flag football, with an offer from Marymount College in Virginia.

Additionally, she holds basketball offers from D-1 Chicago State, D-II Fort Lauderdale, and National Assocation Intercollegiate Assocation (NAIA) College of Coastal Georgia, according to her X account and previous stories that I have written.
