Late in its game against Locked ‘n Elite Team, Lightning Melious Rise (AAU) rising junior guard Lauren Leon nailed two free throws, with the weight of pressure on her, to help locked down the 60-57 victory for her basketball team today at the Under Armour Girl’s Final in Lancaster, Pa.
Class of 2026 guard and Siena commit Stella Ziogas (New Rochelle High School/N.Y.) led the way for the Lightning with another fantastic tilt, draining 23 points, dishing out five assists, grabbing seven rebounds, and making three steals in the win.
Leon added 16 points and six boards, while rising junior Emily Salafia (St Joseph by-the-Sea/Staten Island, N.Y.) contributed 11 points.
