New Providence High School (N.J.) rising senior guard Annie Conover has verbally committed to D III University of Scranton Women’s basketball program, today she announced on X.
The gifted Conover, who also suited up for United NJ AAU – 17u Power 24/S40 squad, paced the Pioneers with impressive numbers: 583 points, 256 rebounds,106 assists, and 71 thefts in 31 contests played this past season.
Also, she helped lead New Providence to the 2025 North Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Assocation (NJSIAA) Girls Basketball Group 1 Tournament Final Crown.
Conover will be a welcome addition to the Royals, who have been a historically nationally top D3 Women’s program.
Scranton posted an amazing 29-2 overall record and went 17-1 in Landmark Conference action in the 2024-25 campaign. The Royals made it all the way to the NCAA D3 Elite 8 Championship, losing, 81-77, to University of Wisconsin-Stout.
