Sisters Ana Marković and Kiki Marković, who are both forwards, have signed with Brooklyn Football Club (Brooklyn FC) women’s team for the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League, a USL property, season, pending league and federation approval.
The Croatian pair will provide Brooklyn FC with certain impressive ineligibles that go beyond the stat sheet.
“Ana and Kiki bring more than quality on the pitch. They bring leadership, character, and a winning mentality,” Kevin Tenjo, the team’s Sporting Director, said in a press release. “They are competitors who understand what it takes to succeed, and their addition strengthens the culture we’re building at Brooklyn FC.”
Ana, 25, a soccer superstar with more than 3 million followers online, joins the squad after playing internationally in Switzerland and Portugal, while Kristina joins Brooklyn from FC Rapperswil‑Jona in the Swiss Women’s Super League.
Anna said she is pumped to feed off the vibes of Brooklyn FC as well as the Big Apple, both of which are already electrifying her, and made even more remarkable with her sister by her side.
“Signing with Brooklyn FC is an exciting step for me,” Anna said. “I’ve played in incredible places, but I can already feel the energy around this club and city. Sharing this experience with my sister makes it even more special, and we’re both here to make an impact on the field.”
Coming to the ‘Borough of Kings,’ and suiting up for Brooklyn FC alongside her sister is an aspiration that has come true for the 24-year-old Kiki.
“We’ve been training and competing together our whole lives, and playing side by side in Brooklyn is a dream come true,” Kiki said. “I can’t wait to fight for this team, connect with the fans, and contribute everything I can to our second season.”
Soccer aside, the sister are co-founders in RELOADZ, a Swiss vegan protein water brand.
Brooklyn FC opens its second season in the Gainbridge Super League on Saturday, August 23, at Maimonides Park on Coney Island, Brooklyn, N.Y. Season tickets, single-match tickets, fall plans, suites, and group outings are all available.
