Class of 2027 Hillgrove High School (Ga.) wing Asa Montgomery has received an offer from Rutgers University Scarlet Knights Men’s basketball program, yesterday he wrote on X.
The 6-foot-7 Powder Springs, Ga., native also holds offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Geogia State, Auburn, Kennesaw State, and Florida State, per VerbalCommits.com.
A poised player, Montgomery, a four-star player, sports an effortless, effective stroke, is athletic, a good rebounder, owns a high hoops acumen, and defends well in the paint, according to scouts.
Moreover, Montgomery’s game is still developing. Therefore, the top 100 prospect in the 2027 class owns a high ceiling.
Rutgers put up a 15-7 overall mark and went 8-12 in Big 10 Conference action in the 2024-25 campaign.
