Class of 2026 Loyola Academy (Chicago, Ill.) guard Trey Williams has committed to Division I Cornell University Men’s basketball program, yesterday he announced on X.
Additionally, the 6-foot-3, 180-pound Williams, who also suited up for Breakaway Basketball 3SSB, held offers from Dartmouth and Navy, per VerbalCommits.com.
Williams is the type of floor general who makes everyone around him that much better due to his precision passing skills. And what more can you ask for from your hardwood leader?
Plus, he owns a slick handle, smooth, consistent outside shot, and defends well. Arguably his best asset, however, Williams’ high basketball acumen should serve him well at the next level in the Ivy League, per high school hoop scouts.
More importantly, though, he sports a 4.0 GPA, according to his X account.
Big Red posted an overall 18-11 record and went 9-5 in Ivy League Conference action in the 2024-25 campaign.
