NV Demarest HS’s Gabriella Mittelman Commits to D3 Smith College Women’s Basketball

Senior guard Gabriella Mittelman of Northern Valley Demarest High School (N.J.) and United 17U AAU girls’ basketball squads has verbally committed to Division III Smith College Women’s basketball program, one of the top teams in the country, yesterday she announced on X.

The Bears will hold a roster spot for Mittleman for the 2026-27 college academic/athletic year.

Mittelman drained a team-leading 438 points, 93 rebounds, 97 assists, and 97 steals in 29 games played in New Jersey girls’ high school basketball last season.

This class of 2026 standout is a knockdown outside shooter, a defensive magnet with the balls in her hands, and a skilled dribbler and passer who possesses a high basketball IQ.

Smith posted a 31-3 overall record and went 11-0 in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action in the 2024-25 campaign.
