Class of 2026 Our Saviour Lutheran School (Bronx, N.Y.) wing Derrick Florence III has received an offer from Division I University of New Orleans and University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Men’s basketball programs, yesterday he wrote on X.
Additionally, the 6-foot-8 Florence holds offers from Florida Atlantic, Old Dominion, Louisianan, and Manhattan, according to his X account.
Florence, nicknamed Bam, is a special versatile player who is a three-level scorer with nice size and length, plus smooth athletic ability.
Defensively, he alters shots from the outside and on the inside and gets into passing lanes on the regular. Also, Florence rebounds well on both ends of the hardwood who not only gives his team a second chance, but he can also lead in transition.
