2026 Blair Academy (N.J.) guard Jaen Chatman has committed to Division I University of Rhode Island Men’s basketball program, today basketball media outlets announced via X.
The 6-foot-2 Chatham held offers from Xavier, George Washington, Fordham, Hofstra, Seton Hall, Saint Joseph’s, Marist, Binghamton, George Mason, Quinnipiac, Towson, among other programs, according to VerbalCommits.com.
Chatham, who also played for the PSA Cardinals, scored 277 points in 18 games.
A true point guard, Chatham is a pass-first player who can thread the needle with his feeds and also drop buckets, especially from deep, when he needs to for his teams.
Also, he suited up for East Stroudsburg South (Pa,) Boy’s basketball team before joining Blair Academy last year.
The Rams posted a 18-13 overall mark and went 7-11 on Big 10 Conference action in the 2024-25 campaign.
