William & Mary Shocks Wake Forest in Women’s Basketball Upset


In what was a big upset in Women’s college basketball, William & Mary used four players in double figures to take down undefeated Wake Forest (9-1), 67-64, Wednesday morning at the LJVM Coliseum in North Carolina.

Junior center Jana Sallman led the Tribes’ (3-4) offensive charge with 17 points, while sophomore forward Natalie Fox, who played for Millbrook High School and NY Hoopers NY AAU squad, contributed 16 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks in the victory.

Junior guard Monet Dance added 10 points with three from three-point land, and freshman guard Dynasti Pierce had 10 points of her own. Plus, junior guard Cassidy Geddes dished out seven assists in the win.
