Monsignor McClancy High School (Queens, N.Y.) junior Layla Wagner has earned the Girl’s Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) AA Student-Athlete of the Week honor, while Notre Dame Academy High School’s (Staten Island, N.Y.) Parker Huang picked up the same accolade for the CHSAA’s Class A Division, yesterday the league announced via Facebook,
Wagner combined to drain 52 points on eight three pointers, made 12 steals, grabbed 14 rebounds, and dished out 12 assists across two games in Scranton’s Electricity City Madness Basketball Tournament.
Huang, a junior two-way standout threat, averaged 21.5 points, six boards, three helpers, and three thefts in a 2-1-week in league play.
