PSAL Boy’s Basketball Highlights: A.P. Randolph Dominates Stuyvesant, While August Martin Outlasts John Bowne


Tuesday night featured two matchups between two Public School Athletic League (PSAL) Manhattan Boy’s basketball squads, and two Queens hoop teams in New York City.

Here is how the exciting action shook out.

A.P. Randolph Vs. Stuyvesant

Led by junior Darren Leslie (24) and senior Tristian Green’s (21) combined 45 points, A. Philip Randolph Campus High School (Manhattan) Boy’s basketball team blew past Stuyvesant (2-6), 82-43, Tuesday night at home in PSAL action.

Senior Francis Castanos-Brito contributed 10 points and 10 assists in the Cougars’ (5-4) lopsided victory.

Sophomore Miking King Nelson and senior Davidson Ebeh added 12 and 11 rebounds, respectively.

August Martin Vs. John Bowne

Junior Jayden Waldron drained a game-high 22 points as well as seven boards to help lead August Martin High School (5-4) over John Bowne (1-7), 62-52, Tuesday night on the road in PSAL Queens Boy’s basketball.

Junior Tyrese Vassell, a two-sport athlete (football), chipped in with 16 points and six rebounds.

Junior Devin Harris led John Bowne with 18 points, and Amadou Sanoh added 14 points in defeat.
