Ronaldo Flores Returns to Long Island Ducks for 2026 Season

The Long Island Ducks are bringing back catcher Ronaldo Flores for the 2026 Atlantic League season, today the team announced via X.

Performing well on both sides of the diamond, Ducks manager Lew Ford said he is thrilled to have Flores return to the fold in 2026.

“Ronaldo did a terrific job for us last season, both at the plate and in the field,” Ford said in a press release. “We are excited to welcome him back to Long Island.”

Flores was 2025 mid-season Atlantic League All-Star and finished the campaign batting .341, slugging 12 home runs, 41 RBI, 85 hits, 13 doubles, and scoring 30 runs with .929 a OPS in 2025.

Behind the plate, the 23-year-old posted a .993 fielding percentage while throwing out 19 percent of runners attempting to steal in 45 games.

After putting up solid overall numbers, Flores said he is ready to help bring the organization a title this coming season.

“I’m super excited to come back to Long Island,” said Flores. “My goal is to try and help this team make the playoffs and win a championship.”

Flores played in three seasons (2019, 2021-22) in the San Francisco Giants organization and two years (2023-24) in the Los Angeles Angels system, reaching as high as the Double-A Rocket City Trash Pandas.
