Mercer County Community College's women's basketball program recently welcomed former Trenton Catholic Academy player Jada Queen, known for her size and tenacious defense, boosting the Vikings' roster. The program, on hiatus for two years, will return for the 2024-2025 campaign.
Mercer County Community College's women's basketball team has signed Spanish guards Ariadne Acosta, Lia Sekhnishvili, Alexandra Garcia Galen, and New Jersey native Jayla Jones. The coach is optimistic about their abilities and looks forward to the upcoming season.
Former Pope John XXIII Regional High School's Jimmy Brennan is transferring to Seton Hall's baseball program for his senior year. In three years at Division II Post University, he had an impressive .355 batting average, 14 home runs, 131 RBI, 40 doubles, a .936 OPS and .423 OBP in 141 games. He also maintained a 3.64 GPA.
Lawrence Foreman, former St. Thomas Aquinas power forward, will join Division I Maryland Eastern Shore Men's basketball team. He averaged 5.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game with a 59.1% field goal rate.
Ja'Kair Sanchez, former D-II guard, transfers to Division I Wagner College Men's basketball. He brings strong stats and experience from Roberts Wesleyan University.
The 6-foot-9 Moorestown, N.J., native played 23 minutes as a redshirted sophomore at Hofstra this past season. As a sophomore, he averaged 0.7 points and 0.8 rebounds per game with the Lions.
Jamal Fuller, a former Academy of Art guard/forward and Canadian, is transferring to Division I LIU Sharks Men's basketball program. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Toronto native averaged 18.0 points and five rebounds per game with the Urban Knights in the 2024-23 campaign.
The 6-foot redshirted sophomore averaged 5.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game in 25 contests with the Knights in the 2023-24 campaign. In the 2022-23 season, Pacheco average 3.5 points and five rebounds per game with the same team.
Briggs averaged 10.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in 32 contests played with the Warriors in the 2023-24 campaign. He also shot 42.0 percent from the field and made 32.8 percent from behind the arc.
Taylor averaged 4.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per game, as well as seven blocks and 25 steals this past season with the Red Storm. He also shot 44.9 percent from the floor and 42.4 percent from long-range.
