Two dislocated knee injuries–with an operation after the second dislocation, to prevent it from happening again–couldn’t keep Kevon Ferguson away from his dream of playing at the next level, as he has committed to NCAA D-II Goldey-Beacom in Wilmington, DE, today, BC Lions Hoops Tweeted.
“The high IQ sharp-shooting stretch-4 missed his entire senior year with an injury and has worked tirelessly to get back. We are proud of you, Kev – the best is yet to come,” Brooklyn Collegiate High School Boy’s Basketball wrote in Tweet.
Brooklyn Collegiate assistant hoops coach Ken Hoyte praised Ferguson, a good student, for his work ethic and for doing what he needs to do in order to get healthy and hit the hardwood again with a vengeance.
“When he came to us, he was 250 pounds,” Hoyte said in a BrooklynSportsWorld.com story back in March. “He lost 30 pounds. He became a vegetarian, and he put in the hard work to get better.”
The Lighting went 15-14 overall and 12-7 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action.
