Northfield Mount Hermon High School (MA) senior Jake Tavroff has verbally committed to Columbia University Men’s basketball programs, today his prep hoops program Tweeted.
Tavroff, who played basketball for Long Island’s Oceanside High School, is a 6-foot-9, 225-pound forward who played AAU ball for New Heights.
A high academic and athletic prospect, with excellent leadership skills, Tavroff should fit in nicely with the Lions’ system.
The Columbia Lions posted a 6-24 overall record and went 1-13 in Ivy League Conference play last season.
