Former Fairleigh Dickinson and St. Peter’s Prep (N.J.) guard Ray Ford, Jr. is transferring to Lamar State–Port Arthur (JUCO), in Texas, yesterday he Tweeted.
The 6-foot-2, 188-pound Jersey City, N. J., native averaged 1.5 points, 0.5 rebounds and 1.0 rebound per game for the Knights this past season.
Ford earned First Team All-Hudson County honors twice while at St. Peter’s Prep. He also won a Hudson County Championship with the team and led his squad in scoring in the 2020-21 campaign. More importantly, he excelled in the classroom, earning Second Honors twice as a student-athlete.
Lamar State–Port Arthur posted a 20-12 mark and went 11-8 in Region XIV action in 2021-22.
