Chatham HS, Morris County Cubs Baseball Star Trent Jenks Commits to Hofstra

Chatham High School (N.J.) and Morris County Cubs outfield/right-handed pitcher/first baseman Trent Jenks has verbally committed to Division I Hofstra University baseball program, yesterday he Tweeted.

Chatham High School’s Trent Jenks commits to Hofstra University baseball.

Jenks, who enjoyed a stellar season, paced the Cougars in just about every offensive category in 2023. The hard-nosed player led the Chatham charge with 24 hits, 15 runs, three home runs, 14 RBI and 12 stolen bases while batting .375 and slugging .641. Jenks, who tops out with an 89 miles per hour fastball, per his Twitter account, also fired a 1.02 ERA with 51 Ks in 41.1 innings of work in 2023.

The Pride posted a 26-26 overall record and went 13-15 in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play this past campaign.
