Staten Island’s Angelina Hodgens Earns D1 Providence Women’s Hoops Offer

Angelina Hodgens of St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School has picked up an offer from Division I Providence College Women’s basketball, tonight she announced on X.

Angelina Hodgens sizzles on the court with latest D1 basketball offer from Providence College.

Hodgens, a 5-foot-9 junior guard, also holds D1 basketball offers from St. John’s, Monmouth, Scared Heart and offers and growing interest from other top college hoop programs.

Scrappy with a high motor and an undeniable ability to score, Hodgens is one of the best 2025s on Staten Island and in all of New York City. Additionally, Hodgens, who also suits up for Exodus NYC EYBL, can defend against the other teams’ best offensive players.

The Lady Vikings finished the regular 2022-23 season with a 22-1 overall record while going unbeaten at 14-0 in CHSAA Teir 2 “A” league play. Hodgens scored 28 points in the GCHSAA Class “A” State Championship win over Cardinal O’Hara.

The Frias are off to a 6-7 start and will travel to South Orange, New Jersey, Saturday December 30th to face Seton Hall.

  1. I’m told Angelina is a great kid, player, student, and from a great family—I hope in these days of the transfer portal recruiting era she will entertain a clean winning D1 program with a high academic standing where she can contribute and thrive.—More fun, less stress.—Continued success, Angelina!
