Austin Chouinard Re-Signs with Grand Junction Jackalopes

The Grand Junction Jackalopes of the independent Pioneer Baseball League, a MLB partner league, have re-signed Austin Chouinard for the upcoming 2024 baseball campaign, the team recently announced.

Chouinard, who mans the catcher, first base and rightfield positions, hit .345 with six home runs and 30 RBI, while slashing .436/524/.960 last season with the Jackalopes.

Before turning pro, Chouinard suited up for Park University Gilbert in Gilbert Ariz., for three years, in which he batted .361 with 16 longballs, 91 RBI and an impressive OPS of .1034 in 355 at-bats in in 94 games.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Aurora, Colo., native previously played for South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, Ariz.
