Nicole Melious, a Staten Island, New York, Native, made a splash in the freshman’s return to New York City, scoring a career-high 28 points in La Salle’s 93-83 win over the Fordham Rams (12-16/7-10) Saturday in the Bronx to cap the regular season. .

The 5-foot-8 guard also added five rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot to her outstanding performance.
In addition to Melious’ three-point barrage, junior guard Tiara Bolden shot 4-8 from three-point range, helping her ring up 25 points, a career-best for her as well.
The 12th seeded Explores will square off against the No.13 Massachusetts Minutewomen for the third time this season in next week’s A-10 Conference Tournament held in Henrico, Va.
