The Staten Island FerryHawks have signed infielder Jeison Guzman for the upcoming 2024 Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) campaign, today the team announced via X.
While the Kansas City Royals promoted him to the active roster, the switch-hitting Guzman did not see any action with the team in 2020.
Guzman, 25, played with the Arizona Complex League Royals and Northwest Arkansas Naturals (AA/Royals) in 2023, hitting a combined .234 with nine home runs and 43 RBI in 239 at bats in 71 tilts with both squads.
Guzman, a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, owns a .245 average with 29 longballs,197 RBI, 245 runs scored and 68 base thefts in seven minor league affiliated seasons between the Royals and Arizona Diamondback organizations.
