The New York Mets will be handing out Brandon Nimmo City Connect bobblehead to the first 15, 000 fans at this Friday’s July 12th home game against the Colorado Rockies.
Nimmo is currently batting .252 with 15 home runs, 58 RBI and eight stolen bases with a .367 OBP and .826 OPS through 318 at-bats as of Wednesday night.
The Mets selected Nimmo in the first-round of the 2011 MLB Amateur Draft out of Cheyenne, Wyoming, where he played American Legion ball before the team plucked him in the draft.
The 31-year-old batted .248 and slashed .372/.406/.778 with six dingers and 40 RBI in 266 at-bats in 69 contests with the short-season Brooklyn Cyclones of the New York Penn League (NYPL) in 2012.
