Class of 2024 ASVEL Basket (France) forward/center Petar Majstorović today has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to enroll at the college and play with the Division I Syracuse Men’s basketball program, according to media reports.
Majstorović is a 6-foot-9 who has come off a stint with ASVEL Basket Lyon-Villeurbanne U-21 team in the French ProA U-21 League in May. There, the Sombor, Serbian-born big man averaged 9.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.9 steals and 23.6 minutes played per contest in 34 games.
Asvel Basket Lyon-Villeurbanne posted a 19-15 record in the 2023-24 campaign.
The Orange posted a 20-12 overall mark and went 11-9 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play in the 2023-24 season.
The NIL guarantees that the school agrees to provide athletics financial aid for one academic year to the student-athlete, provided that he or she is admitted to the institution and is eligible for financial aid under NCAA rules.
