Aaron Judge and Francisco Lindor Win MLB Player of the Week Awards


MLB has named New York Yankees centerfielder Aaron Judge and New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor American and National Leagues’ Chevrolet Players of the Week, respectively, today the league has announced via X.

Aaron Judge and Franciso Lindor take home Player of the Week honors.

Judge laced .381/.519/1,429 with seven home runs, 11 RBI and four bases on balls during the week, while Lindor slashed .345/.387/.793 with three longballs, four doubles, six runs scored and a stolen base.

Judge, 32, is batting .333 with 51 dingers, 122 RBI, 104 runs scored and an OPS percentage of 1.202 in 459 at-bats.

Lindor, 30, is hitting .269 with 27 home runs, 78 RBI, an OPS percentage of .826 along with 25 base thefts in 536 at-bats, while playing a stellar shortstop.

The Yankees picked Judge, a native of Linden, Calif., in the first round, 32nd overall, of the 2013 MLB Amateur Draft out of Fresno State.

The Cleveland Guardians selected Lindor, a Puerto Rican native, in the first round, eight overall, of the 2011 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Montverde Academy in Florida.
