Syniya Barton has proven her worth tenfold for the Monsignor McClancy Girl’s basketball team during her four-year tenure at the Queens Catholic High School.
In a 57-41 victory over Sacred Heart (Long Island) today, Barton, a senior who is committed to Hofstra Women’s basketball, set a program record by grabbing her 531st rebound, per the team’s X account.
Barton averaged a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds with three steals per game as a junior. She also averaged 9.7 points, nine rebounds, and two thefts per contest as a sophomore. Plus, the Rose Classic Tournament named her Team MVP that same season, per the Tablet Newspaper.
