Coming off a terrific season with the Boise Hawks of the Pioneer Baseball League (PBL), today the Long Island Ducks have signed infielder Troy Viola for the upcoming 2024 Atlantic League season.
Viola batted .343 with a .427 on-base percentage, a .639 slugging percentage and a 1.066 OPS with the Hawks. He also slugged 28 home runs and 94 RBI with 30 doubles and 132 hits.
The 26-year-old is entering his first year with the Ducks and fourth in professional baseball.
Viola, a California native, played two season of college baseball with San Jose State University and one at Purdue University.
The Ducks kick off the 2025 regular season at home on Friday, April 25, at 6:35 p.m. against the Lancaster Stormers.
