The Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League have re-signed left-handed pitcher Mitchell Senger for the upcoming 2025 season, today the team announced on social media.
Senger, 27, finished last year by striking out nine batters and walking just one in 12.1 innings of work in two starts after the Ducks acquired him in a trade with the New York Boulders of the Frontier League last September.
Senger posted a 10-4 mark with a 3.66 ERA and 81 strikeouts to 28 walks over 96.0 innings of work in 2024 with the Bolders before that.
The Florida native also made 32 relief appearances with New York in 2023, going 3-2 with a 4.46 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 34.1 frames.
Additionally, Senger pitched for the Sussex County Miners in 2022 and the New York Mets organization in 2019 with the Gulf Coast League (rookie) and Kingsport (rookie) affiliates.
The Mets selected Senger in the 26th round of the 2019 MLB Amateur Draft out of Stetson University.
