Stony Brook Men’s basketball junior guard C.J. Luster is entering the transfer portal, today sports outlets reported on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Seawolves are going to miss Luster’s offensive production, as he averaged 16.8 points per game and shot 42 percent from beyond the arc this past season.
Before Stony Brook, the six-foot-4 player went to Salt Lake Community College, averaging 16.4 points per contest. Salt Lake CC was the No. 3 ranked team in the NJCAA and captured the Scenic West Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship, finishing with a 30-4 record in 2024.
Additionally, Luster helped Salt Lake CC to a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 18 Championship and advanced to the Second Round of the NJCAA National Tournament.
Also, the Denton, Texas, native attended Universal Academy High School.
The Seawolves posted an 8-24 mark and went 4-14 Coastal Athletic Assocation Coference action in the 2024-25 campaign.
