Avenues School’s Shawn McLean Picks Up La Salle Hoops Offer

Class of 2027 Avenues School (N.Y.) and AAU Riverside Hawks shooting guard Shawn McLean has received an offer from Division I La Salle Men’s basketball program, recently sports media outlets wrote on X.

It was the first offer for the 6-foot-5 rising junior, according to a source.

McLean seems to be hitting his stride, making waves on the hardwood with his fluid shot and developing handle. It will be interesting to see how McLean’s college hoops recruiting will play out as he improves going forward.

The Explores posted a 14-19 record and went 5-13 in Atlantic 10 Conference play in the 2024-25 campaign.
