Team Lightning Melious Triumphs at Day One of Gym Rat Challenge Hoops Tournament

Class of 2026 Stella Ziogas (New Rochelle High School/N.Y.) drained 19 points, and rising junior Lauren Leon (Brewster High School/N.Y.) contributed 15 points in leading Team Lightning Melious to victory Saturday at Day One of the Gym Rat Challenge basketball tournament in Albany, N.Y.

Additionally, Ziogas, a Siena commit, added six assists, five steals, and five rebounds, while Leon chipped in with four boards, two helpers, and took two crucial charges in the win.

Class of 2027 Maria Ribeiro (Hendrick Hudson High School/N.Y.) and rising junior Zoey Henry (West York High School/Pa.) added contributions on both ends of the floor, especially on defense.

Team Lightning Melious returns to Gym Rat Challenge today for early morning action.
