Chatham High School (N.J.) rising senior offensive/defensive lineman Jase Catullo has committed to admission procession at Division I University of Pennsylvania’s (UPenn) football program, today he told me.
Additionally, the 6-foot-3.5-inch, 290-pound Catullo held offers from Sacred Heart, Bucknell, Air Force, and Southern Georgia, with interest from several other colleges before deciding to take his gridiron and academic talents to Philadelphia.
Catullo starred on the offensive line for the Cougars, using his quick footwork, pure explosive power, and his super overall skill set to quickly get out in front of pulls to open up holes for his running backs and protect his quarterback.
Defensively, he also made 29 tackles, had one fumble recovery, and blocked one punt in the 2024 season.
The Cougars posted an impressive 7-3 record and defeated Wayne Valley, 24-7, in the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) quarterfinal round of the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 football tournament.
The Quakers posted a 4-6 overall record and went 2-5 Ivy League Conference action in the 2024-25 campaign.
