LIU Brooklyn Men’s Basketball Offers Two Class of 2026 Prospects: Charles, Basquine

Long Island University (LIU) Brooklyn Men’s Basketball has offered two class of 2026 players: Jordan Charles of CIA Bella Vista Prep (Ariz.), and Re’Ale Basquine of Vincennes University (Ind./JUCO), yesterday VerbalCommits.com wrote on X.

Charles, a 6-foot-0 Canadian guard, also holds offers from St. Bonaventure, Stonehill, South Florida, and Murray State, while Basquine–a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from London, England–holds one from Arizona State, according to VerbalCommits.com.

Charles averaged 12 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game in 19 contests played with Team Canada’s FIBA U19, U17, and U16 squads in 2025 International Basketball Federation Association (FIBA) Basketball World Cup, 2024 FIBA Basketball World Cup, and 2023 FIBA Americas Championship tournaments, respectively.

Basquine most recently suited up for the U18 Great Britain squad in the U18 European Championship – Division B.

The Sharks posted a 17-16 overall record and went 12-4 in Northeast Conference (NEC) action this past season. It was a big improvement over their previous 7-22 overall mark in 2024-23.
