Class of 2027 guard Lauren Leon of Brewster High School (N.Y.) and Team Lightning Melious has earned an offer from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) University of Tennessee Southern Firehawks Women’s basketball program, today her AAU coach Dam Melious wrote on X.
In addition to the Firehawks’ offer, the 5-foot-9 rising junior guard holds offers from DI Siena, D3 Meredith College, and another from NAIA Life University, according to her X account.
Leon is currently playing at AAU tournaments across the nation with her Lighting AAU squad, uses her grittiness, sharpshooting skills, and ability to play a stalwart defense to help make a name for herself, according to her coach Dan Melious.
Tennessee Southern had put up a 13-9 mark and went 11-5 in Southern States Athletic Conference action this past season.
