Scanlon HS’s Meagan Scott Commits to Alabama State Women’s Basketball

Monsignor Scanlon High School (Bronx, N.Y.) and Hoopers NY class of 2025 5-foot-10 point guard Meagan Scott has committed to Division I Alabama State University Women’s basketball, yesterday her AAU coach Bryan Williams announced on Instagram.

Scott attended York Prep in Manhattan before going to Scanlon for her senior year.

Moreover, Scott’s hoops accomplishments are downright impressive.

She helped York Prep capture the Independent School Athletic League (ISAL) 2024 Girl’s Basketball Championship–the team’s third in a row. Plus, Scott earned MVP honor in the 2023-2024 season after reaching the 1,000-point scoring mark in her junior year. Also, she was a Rose Classic 2023 All-Star and won the Spring 2023 Junior Division Sportsmanship Rose Classic award.

The Hornets posted a 6-24 overall record and went 4-14 in Southwest Athletic Conference (SWAC) play in the 2024-25 campaign.
