The Detroit Tigers organization has purchased the contract of former Sussex County Miners (the Frontier League, an MLB partner league) right-handed relief pitcher Mat Stil, the Miners recently announced on X.

He posted a 2-2 record and five saves with a 3.86 ERA with 42 strikeouts in 28.0 innings of work in 19 contests.
Stil, who the Kansas City Royals selected in the 21st round of the 2019 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Rowan College of South Jersey-Gloucester, posted a 4-4 mark in 73.2 frames in 55 tilts across two campaigns with the Miners.
