St. Thomas Aquinas Standout Lauryn Downing Attracts Attention from Bryant University Hoops

Class of 2027 St. Thomas Aquinas High School (N.J.) and Team Sharp 16U point guard Lauryn Downing has earned an offer from Division I Bryant Women’s basketball program, yesterday she wrote on X.

The 5-foot-5 New Jersey native also holds offers from Siena and UMass, according to her X account.

A relentless hard worker, Downing is a player with a high basketball acumen, poised under pressure, a great outside shooter, and an outstanding facilitator.

Downing dropped in 271 points, grabbed 70 rebounds, and dished out a team-leading 150 assists in 30 games played last high school girl’s basketball season.

Bryant posted a 17-15 overall record and went 9-7 on America East Conference (AEC) action in the 2024-25 campaign.
