On Friday, September 26th, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., New York Mets legends Darryl Strawberry and Dwight Gooden will be at an in-store appearance at Hall of Fame Sports Collectibles (2150 Oriskany Street, Utica, N.Y.) to meet fans, sign autographs and take phots with fans.
Prices for the meet-and-greet for Strawberry are: $49.00 for cards; $79.00 any item–and an extra $25.00 for inscriptions.
For Gooden, $29.00 for any item–and an extra $15.00 for an inscription.
A dual photo ticket will cost $99.00, while a super ticket at $149.00 will entitle you to one autograph from each former player on any item and dual photo opportunity.
Strawberry smacked 252 home runs with the Mets, second all-time in club history, as well as winning a World Series in 1986 with the team. Plus, he was the 1983 National League Rookie of the Year (ROY). He also captured World Series rings with the New York Yankees in 1996 and 1999.
Gooden recorded a 194-112 record with a 3.51 ERA with 2293 strike outs over a 16-year MLB career with the Mets, Yankees, Tampa Devil Rays, Cleveland Indians and Houston Astros. Also, he helped the Mets win the 1986 World Series against the Boston Red Sox in one of the greatest moments in franchise history. Plus, he fired a no-hitter against the Seattle Mariners as a member of the Yankees on May 14th, 1996, the same year they won the championship.
