Young spent his entire collegiate baseball career with three different programs: State University of New York (SUNY) Niagara, Mercyhurst, and West Virginia.
The 29-year-old former Frontier Central High School (Hamburg, N.Y.) alum spent the 2021 through 2024 seasons with Milwaukee, pitching in 52 regular-season games. Plus, Young had a stop with the Single-A Inland Empire 66ers of the Inland Empire 66ers in the Los Angeles Angels’ minor league system.
The Cincinnati Reds selected Young in the 21st round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Niagara County Community College.
