Staten Island FerryHawks Matt Scheffler has won the 2025 Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) batting title with a .347 batting average, today the team announced on X.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Scheffler, 27, added 15 home runs and 61 RBI and slashed an impressive .444/.568/1.012 in 303 at-bats in 84 games with the FerryHawks this past season.
A former Auburn Tigers baseball player, Scheffler spilt the 2024 season with the Arizona Complex League Angels and Triple-A Tacoma Rainers (Seattle Mariners) before landing in Staten Island, where the utility player hit .250 with two longballs and nine RBI in 80 at-bats in 25 contests.
The ALPB is MLB partner league.
