Sussex County Miners Secure Righty Kellen Brothers for Upcoming Season

Pitcher Kellen Brothers has re-signed with the Sussex County Miners for the upcoming 2026 Frontier League campaign, today the team announced on X.

The 6-foot-3 righty posted an 8-5 record with a 4.50 ERA while striking out 80 batters in 104 innings of work in 18 games in 2025, making a case for a pitcher who can take the ball every fifth day and eat up frames while being effective at the same time.

The 25-year-old Gridley, California, native went 4-8, whiffing 92.0 innings in 17 contests in his debut season with the Miners in 2024.

Brothers put up an impressive 25-7 mark in four years at National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Oka.
