Outfielder Alex Ungar, a recent signee of the Washington Wild Things of the MLB Partner League Frontier League, has had his contract transferred to the Chicago White Sox organization, today the team announced via FaceBook.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Ungar–a Ronkonkoma, New York, native–will begin his first season of professional baseball within the Chicago minor league system after suited up for the West Virginia Black Bears of the MLB Draft League this past summer.
With the Black Bears in the summer of 2025, Ungar hit four home runs and had 21 RBI while slashing 312/.412/.522 in 37 games and 138 at-bats, helping Virgina capture the league’s championship. He also swiped 24 bases out of 27 attempts.
Ungar completed his college career at Sacred Heart after playing two seasons in Fairfield, Connecticut. During his time, he earned the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Second Team All-Region honor, as well as making All-MAAC Second Team in 2025 after slashing .359/.443/.708 (1.151 OPS) in 48 contests.
