On our recent adventures, my girlfriend Maggie and I hit two local food sports in Morris Counties, New Jersey: Fleur del Sel and Teresa’s Italian Kitchen. And I’m ecstatic that we did.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!I have a passion for awesome fare. and there are not many places like the great state of New Jersey for delectable food.
Above are two New Jersey eateries that I cannot live without since we have been there. There is no turning back now. Full tilt breakfasts, lunches and dinners, baby.
Fleur de Sel · Patisserie · Bistro – 265 Main Street, Chatham, New Jersey — Open Tuesday through Sunday
8 a.m.- 3p.m.l closed on Mondays. Telephone: 973-507-9865.
The brainchild of Patricia Etel Khawand, the owner and founder of the fantastic French bakery in Chatham, New Jersey, the world-traveled, experienced pastry chef daily handcrafts wonderful delights, such as a variety of croissants, tartes, cakes, eclairs, macarons, soups, quiches, salads, and sandwiches that will completely blow your doors off.

Maggie and I ordered a tomato, basil, and goat cheese quiche as we made our way over to work on a recent Saturday. We could not stop raving about the tastebud-pleasing offering. Flavorful, savory, and slightly crispy and creamy, it was outstanding, bar none.
Additionally, on one of our recent weekend adolescent retreats at our church, Etel Khawand was more than kind enough to bestow us with some of the best croissants I have ever tasted — from butter and cheese to chocolate and almond, everything was lip-smacking delicious.
She also donated chocolate eclairs as well as a tremendous assortment of other pastries, all of which were amazing. I heard the raspberry tarte is a must-have offering.
We could not thank her enough for the kindness of the tastiest gestures that she gave us. I wholeheartedly appreciate her generosity and support.
Please do yourself a huge favor and head on over to Fleur de Sel · Patisserie for a lifechanging food experience. You can thank me later.
Teresa’s Italian Kitchen — 90 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, New Jersey — Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m., – 7:00 p.m.; Saturday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Sunday: Closed. Telephone: 973) 320-3292.
First opened in this past August, Teresa’s Italian Kitchen was a little nondescript from the outside at first. But it turned out to be set in a charming space, with the walls adored with Teresa’s sweet family photos and interesting bric-à-brac, after we entered through the doors. It definitely sports a family-friendly atmosphere, with a nice touch of Italian ambience, made more so with its wonderful coffee station off to the side.
We mulled over the menu and settled on the house-made, fresh, tasty cheese raviolis for my lady, and I ordered the Very Veggie Sandwich–crafted with crispy eggplant, zucchini, squash, roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella, arugula with balsamic vinaigrette.

First, the bread was so soft, fresh, and scrumptious. Next, the eggplant highlighted the delicious sandwich, with the other ingredients just setting off the wonderful flavors blended together and tasted throughout.
Additionally, I had the mushroom soup–creamy and bursting with warm deliciousness, and I eat a few of Maggie’s leftover raviolis.
