Niagara Basketball: Will Shortt Enters Transfer Portal

Niagara University forward and Aukland, New Zealand, native Will Shortt is entering the transfer portal, today basketball media outlets announced via X.

The 6-foot-8 Shortt, who played basketball for IMG Academy in Florida, averaged 6.5 points and 4.4 rebounds in 581 minutes of hardwood action with the Purple Eagles in the 2025-26 campaign.

Additionally, the sophomore appeared in all 31 games, averaging 3.6 points and 3.0 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per games while shooting 58.0 percent from the field.

Niagara posted an 8-22 record and went 5-15 in Metro Atlantic Association Conference (MAAC) this past season.
