The Long Island Ducks have added outfielder Matt Hogan and outfielder/catcher Caleb Roberts for the upcoming 2026 Atlantic League season, today the team announced via their website.

The Half Hallows East High School graduate posted a solid .353 on-base percentage, a homer, 20 RBI, 23 runs scored, 36 hits, seven doubles, four triples, 29 walks and nine steals at four different stops in the White Sox system in 2025.
With the glove, the 26-year-old put up an impressive .984 fielding percentage and made 10 assists in the outfield while spending time at all three positions.
The hometown kid is excitedly looking to begin the year with the team he grew up rooting for as a youngster while doing his part to make Long Island a big-time winner this season.
“I grew up going to Ducks games with my family as a kid, so it’s extremely cool and super special to me that I get to play as a Duck for the first time,” Hogan said in a press release. “I’m looking forward to doing everything I can to help the team win. Most of all, I’m pumped to meet my teammates and coaches and be a part of a great baseball team this year.”
Roberts comes to Long Island after five seasons in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization, reaching as high as Double-A. He complied a .246 batting average, a .349 on-base percentage and a .776 OPS with 57 longballs, 263 RBI, 281 runs, 418 hits, 94 doubles, 21 triples, 238 walks and 50 stolen bases in 469 contests during that time span.
Defensively, at all three outfield spots, plus catcher and first base, Roberts sparkled with a .981 fielding percent.
“I’m excited to get to work with the staff and players and look forward to competing every day with them in front of the fans,” Roberts said. “It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Speaking of fun, the Ducks begin the festivities against Hagerstown Flying Boxcars on Tuesday, April 21st at 6:35 p.m.
